Sean Slovenski, CEO, BioIQ

Sean recently became CEO of BioIQ to lead a diagnostics revolution that addresses the COVID-19 testing crisis. Before joining BioIQ, he served as Senior Vice President of Walmart Health & Wellness, where he launched multidisciplinary healthcare clinics known as the “Supercenters for Healthcare.”

As CEO of BioIQ, Sean is on a mission to turn the testing industry on its head by aggregating testing solutions, optimizing lab capacity, and integrating testing with customers’ needs and strategies, all with the goal of ensuring stability and resilience for employers and health plans by detecting disease to protect their workforces and members.


Sean started his career by helping build and then lead one of the nation’s first large-scale wellness efforts for Fortune 500 clientele. Envisioning the growth of the internet, he pioneered the development and delivery of online wellness coaching by inventing the first-of-its-kind personal coaching product, MyHealthCoach.com. He then co-founded the industry-leading, positive psychology-based coaching company Hummingbird Coaching Services. Hummingbird was acquired by Humana, Inc. in July 2010.


Sean then reinvented Healthways, the industry-leading population health company, as its President of Population Health. That company was acquired by Humana in 2016.

In other healthcare leadership roles, Sean oversaw the development and operations for two of the largest health system-based integrative medicine and wellness centers in the US, The Mercy Centers for Health & Wellness in Cincinnati. He also served as CEO of the international joint venture between Humana and Discovery Health of South Africa that created one of the largest and most proven wellness incentive companies in the industry, and he led an Intel/GE joint venture in the telehealth and remote patient monitoring space as CEO of Care Innovations.


Across all these organizations, Sean has consistently built innovative products that define and lead their market segment while remaining highly adept at building distribution channels on a national and international scale.
