Leslie MacGregor, Ph.D., V.M.D., J.D., active partner in managing medical care

Leslie MacGregor is an active partner in managing medical care not only for herself, but for her parents, her children in the past, for other family, and for friends with chronic conditions, including multiple sclerosis, pain, depression, cancer and ALS.  She is committed to advancing patient-centered medical care and research. She has a rare primary immunodeficiency and autoimmune neuropathy. She leads a large neuropathy patient support group and provides assistance to neuropathy patients from across the United States. She is on the Board of Directors of a national neuropathy organization. She has been active with the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) in different roles, including as an advisory panel member, a merit reviewer and an ambassador, as well as serving on the advisory boards of two PCORI funded programs. Dr. MacGregor is a patient peer reviewer for Cochrane Reviews. Her career prior to becoming ill included medical research and working as a biomedical patent attorney at universities and pharmaceutical companies. She holds an A.B. from Princeton University, a Ph.D. and a V.M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania, and a JD from Harvard Law School.
