2022 Speaker Profile

Ifrah Ahmed, BA, BS, Children’s Mental Health Case Manager, Metro Social Services
Ifrah is a Somali-Kenyan refugee who works as a community health liaison and was the Ethnic Empowerment group president. She has been living in the US for about 10 years. She graduated from FHSU with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Minor in Leadership. She graduated from Egerton University in Nairobi Kenya with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology. She was born in a refugee camp. She has been able to further her education and make a name for herself. Most of her work is focused on the needs of Africa refugees. Her goal is to promote a positive community and others understand her culture and help refugees assimilate into their new homes. She is determined to help build a culturally-diverse community.
